Sale Picks!

Cash is a little bit strapped at the moment so I'm limiting my online window shopping to sale only and today I found three pieces that are really making me want to dip into my bank account once more!

1. You can never have too many little black laces dresses, and at £15.00 this one from River Island is an absolute steal! It looks slightly high in the neck so I'd have to try it on before I commit to a purchase.

2. The Geek and Loser slogan tees are very popular at the moment, and I'm not sure which label I prefer but this grey one from Topshop is my current fave!

3. Now this is my risky little pick. It's over sized, it's a bold print, I sort of love it and it's only a tenner... ooh River Island what are you trying to do to me! It's another one I'd have to try on.

Let me know what you think of my sale picks and if you've found any amazing bargains lately!

Collective Haul!

There have been some great online sales recently and I still have some boots vouchers so I have done a little bit of splurging this week - but I'm done until Christmas now I swear!

Glamorous Dress
Topshop Metallic Jacket
I'm iffy on this Glamorous dress to be honest, but it was only £9.99 and I've worn it and taken the tag off so I don't really think I can return it... I don't know, it's just more synthetic material than I like and it clings to my lumps and bumps, eh.

I love my Topshop jacket, though I have absolutely no idea when I'm going to wear it. It's a lot nicer than that picture shows, it's a metallic dusty pink and it fits nicely - I will find a suitable outfit!

Look Beauty Blush - 'Flirt'
I went for this blusher over Sleek's Rose Gold because it's a bigger palette, and it's more coral toned than pink, as most of my blushers are more pink based I fancied a change. It's really pigmented and I'm looking forward to blending it with my bronzer.

NYC - Lights Camera Glitter
Revlon - Scandalous
Maybelline The Falsies Flared
VO5 Hot Oil Moisture Soak Elixir
Lipcote
Little bit of everything here, two nail polishes that I really wanted, the Maybelline mascara I've been meaning to try for ages and then the V05 Moisture Soak which my hair is in dire need of, and Lipcote which I've been searching for!

Anndddddd onto the six lipsticks!!
Kate Moss for Rimmel Matte Lipsticks - 107 and 110
I'm in love with this collection, I want them all, the Matte's especially! I went for 107 which is a dark pinky red, and 110 which is a bright coral - the texture is just gorgeous.

MUA Lipsticks - Shade 10 and 16 (Nectar)
Then these MUA lipsticks kind of look similar to the Kate Moss ones but Shade 10 is a lot pinker than 110 and Shade 16, Nectar is more muted and pale (though it doesn't look it in the photo)
Sleek Lipsticks - Peaches & Cream and Papaya Punch
These are my first Sleek lipsticks and it's a bit of a hit and a miss. Papaya Punch is gorgeous, the coral colour, the matte finish - amazing. Peaches and Cream however... eh. It doesn't really stay on my lipsticks and I think it's a bit too yellow for my skin tone - I will persist with it!

So there's my haul guys, probably my last one for a while! Let me know what you think, have you tried any of these products or do you want more of a review on them if you're interested in getting them in the future?

Autumn is well and truly upon us - though to be honest here in Preston it feels more like winter!

Weekly Wants #6

1. Leather-look skater skirt - River Island, £20
2. Metallic luxe scarf - River Island, £16
3. Totoro necklace - Temporary Secretary, £8
4. Gold spike ring - Topshop, £8.50
5. Studded loafers - Boohoo, £20
6. Brown tassle hobo bag - New Look, £24.99
Weekly Total - £97.49

Even though I've been shopping this week, there's still a bunch of stuff that I want - go figure!

The Totoro necklace is just so cute I can't handle it, it's one of my favourite films and I just think it's kitsch enough to go with anything. I was recently introduced to Temporary Secretary jewellery and I'm looking forward to my first purchase being this!

I know studded loafers have been around forever and everyone already has a pair, but these ones from Boohoo are cheaper than the Topshop ones and just seem really nice quality.

Anyone who knows me, knows about my ongoing struggle with bag addiction. I saw the brown hobo bag in New Look and my Mum had to pry my hands off it. I know I don't need any more bags, but I'm sure this will join my collection very soon.

I hope you like my weekly wants, let me know what some of yours are!

Back to Uni Shopping

I went on a very nice little shopping spree with my Mum and Grandma today, and was bought some lovely treats and some winter essentials for going back to Uni on Sunday!

Black skater skirt - Topshop, £16.99
Studded boots - River Island, £40
Red diphem dress - Matalan, £18
Fur hood parka - Matalan, £32
I've featured the boots and the parka in my Weekly Wants posts and I absolutely love them - quite looking forward to cold weather so I can wear them out!
I'm very happy with the stuff I got and I'm now pretty well prepared for my third and final year at Uni.

If you have any comments or questions leave them below, I'd love to see what you're buying for Uni, College or School, or chat to me on twitter.

Weekly Wants #5

1. Black studded jumper - Love, £38.00
2. Fur hooded parka - Matalan, £32.00
3. Cosmic print top - New Look, £14.99
4. Jimmy Choo perfume - Cheap Smells, £50.00 for 100ml
5. Black studded boots - River Island, £40.00
6. Pinch Punch by Louise Gray - Topshop, £6.50
Weekly Total - 181.49

It's another very expensive wishlist but there's just so many new gorgeous items around that I couldn't resist. While part of me is disappointed that there will be no more warm summer days, I'm really looking forward to getting back into Autumn clothes!

I'm going on a back to Uni shopping trip next week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can find the parka and boots while I'm there because they are necessities for the many rain showers I'll find myself caught in running around Preston.

Let me know if you like anything in my Weekly Wants and share your own! If you have any comments or questions please leave them below or you can chat to me on twitter.

Weekly wants!

No girl ever let a lack of money stop her from mental shopping, so I thought that every Friday I would do a 'weekly wants' post where I show all the things that I'm lusting after and wishing I had the money to buy.

Khaki studded jumper - Topshop £42.00
I spotted this while shopping on Sunday and now I'm wishing for Autumn to come now so I can justify buying this jumper. I love the khaki colour, it's just a shame it's so expensive as Topshop always is - I'll be looking out for a similar more affordable version soon!

Studded ankle boots - Office £80.00
I found these on Sunday too - just another example of my obsession with studs! They are a definite dupe of the Chloe boots and I may just have these on my birthday list!

Sleeveless checked shirt - Missguided £22.99
Checked shirts never really seem to go out of style, and I have quite a few, but for some reason I just really like this sleeveless shirt from Missguided, it's just something a little different.

Benefit Porefessional - Boots £23.50
This has been one of the most talked about beauty products on blogs and youtube and I only just recently started to believe the hype. I got a free sample size in Glamour, thanks to my Mum picking it up for me and I will definitely be purchasing the full size version with the help of my Boots points ;)

Leather look skater skirt - Ark £22.99
Now this is a skirt that I have been lusting over for ages, but it's something I don't want to buy before I try on. When I'm next in Sheffield near the Ark store I might not be able to resist...

Weekly shopping total - £191.48
Hmm... some how I don't think I can budget all this in! If I had to pick one thing, it would be the Ark skater skirt because I've wanted it for so long (and because they have a 15% discount on all Hearts & Bows clothing til next month!!)

Tell me about it, stud

Studs are probably one of my favourite things in the world, any time I see something studded in a shop I'm like a magpie - "ooh shiny!"

I also love customising things and although I don't claim to be very good at it, I often cut off the sleeves and necklines of tops to make them suit me better - cap sleeves and high necks just don't look good on me - and I've taken to studding some pieces of clothing too!

The cropped sleeveless denim jacket is from Topshop and I think I bought it two years ago. I did love it but for some reason I just wasn't getting much wear out of it. Then last summer I saw shops bringing out very similar jackets but with studs on, and I thought hey, I can make mine look like that, so with some 99p studs from Ebay, I customised it and I wear it so much more!

It seems like studs are here to stay for awhile and I've seen studded leather jackets EVERYWHERE. Now I actually have three leather jackets (ridiculous) but my favourite is my old faithful from Primark, it's probably 4 years old now but it has stood the test of time, so I decided to jazz it up a little. I bought some smaller studs, also 99p from Ebay, went to town on it and a few hours and a very sore thumb later, I love it!

I thought I would need to get a studding tool but luckily, with it being cheap fake leather, the studs pushed through it easily and I just pushed the prongs down with a pair of eyebrow tweezers.

I will definitely be getting even more wear out of my leather jacket now the weather is cooling down again (boo, bye Summer) and I might even get to customising my lovely camo jacket too... watch this space!
